Régis Bordet, new Executive Director for the Foundation

On  12 July 2018, the President of the I-SITE ULNE Foundation appointed Régis Bordet as Executive Director, after consulting the Board of Members. He succeeds Fabienne Blaise, former President of the University of Lille 3, who last April was appointed Rector for the Academy of Grenoble.

Professor at the University of Lille and hospital practitioner at University Hospital of Lille, Régis Bordet is involved in both scientific and research management activities. Director of the joint research unit (UMR_S 1171, University of Lille, Inserm, University Hospital of Lille) on degenerative and vascular cognitive disorders, his research is oriented towards neuropsychopharmacology which aims to study the effects of drugs on the brain and behavior. From 2010 to 2016, he coordinated the European consortium Pharma-Cog (IMI project). He also led the CeNGEPS (National Center for Management of Health Product Testing), a partnership GIP dedicated to the development of therapeutic trials (2011-2015).

Vice-President Research at the University of Lille 2 until December 2017, he has since taken the position of Vice-President Strategy and Foresight at the University of Lille.

“I want to pay tribute to Fabienne Blaise for the work done and thank Sophie Tison for ensuring the interim. We will be able to capitalize on the actions already taken to enter a more political and institutional phase of the project that will allow us, in two years, to convince the jury that the creation of the I-site has encouraged the commitment of the partners to a new academic paradigm. We will continue to consolidate and broaden the base of our scientific excellence, to experiment with new training methods, to develop our Euroregional partnerships in order to build the great University that Lille deserves. We will do it hand in hand with our founding members and in the respect of all players in the regional academic space, because we never build anything to the detriment of others! I know that the road ahead is difficult, but I will build on the experience I have gained over the last twenty years to mobilize partners in the service of an ambition, which is above all collective “
