Representative office in Brazil

For the “Université Lille Nord-Europe consortium”, cooperation with Brazilian universities is strategic.

The relationships between these actors are already very rich, thanks in particular to frequent exchanges of students, but also to the existence of various joint research projects and double degrees. Based on this observation, the Lille consortium decided to open a representative office in order to further encourage collaboration between the two countries.
Located in the premises of the French Consulate and the French Institute in Belo Horizonte, in Minas Gerais, the representative office is there to advise students, teachers and researchers, French and Brazilian, who wish to go on exchange, to develop new projects or to know about collaboration opportunities.

The office also has the following missions:

  • to represent the member institutions of the Université Lille Nord-Europe consortium with Brazilian partners (universities, authorities, companies, etc.) and French representations in Brazil (Embassy, Consulate, French Institute, etc.);
  • to promote Lille institutions to Brazilian students;
  • to inform partners of the evolution of university and government policies in the field of higher education and research;
  • to be in contact with alumni who wish to maintain the link with Minas Gerais and/or Hauts-de-France.
